Named after Australia's beer-loving PM Bob Hawke, this Marrickville brewery focuses on accessible, well-crafted lagers and ales. Australia's best lager award in 2018 and multiple golds since - the reputation is earned.
Founded after two friends quit their jobs and wrote directly to Bob Hawke asking him to back their brewery - and he agreed. Their Marrickville home is The Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre, shared with the Lucky Prawn restaurant. Their 'One for the Country' initiative has raised over $450,000 for environmental causes in partnership with Landcare Australia, including 13,000 native plants restored along the Cooks River.
